Rag-onomics

Doing more with less

I wish more people were aware the level at which their actions affect the whole of the masses.  We’ve become such an individual-freedom culture that we’ve lost sight of the bigger picture.  Bummer part is, we’ve been lead down this path by the mis-truths and manipulations of a select few.

I happened to come across this video and it spoke to me and I wanted to share it.

If you take the time to watch, please come back to share your thoughts.

I wish to impart that every choice an individual makes has a profound and lasting impact on our entire existence.

For instance, it may seem like a small detail to chose to cloth diaper your baby.  The choice seems remarkably personal and every family has their own set of circumstances that dictate their decisions.

What every family shares when it comes to this choice, however, is the far-reaching impact of their choice.

Did you know that cloth diapering SAVES about 2 BILLION TONS of urine, feces, and paper from landfills?  TONS of raw sewage, untreated waste product that infiltrates (or stands to infiltrate) our water supply.

Modern sewage treatments were developed because people get deathly ill from untreated sewage.  Sewage and access to clean water are among the most basic of human rights.  Cloth diapering seeks to support both of those rights.

Conversely, and contrary to what some would want you to believe, convenience is NOT a basic human right.

Please see the world beyond your own household.  You’re part of something MUCH bigger.

Now the question is…what are you going to do about it?
